NEW SPORT HALL AND SOON SPORT TERRAINS IN PASI POLJANA

Pupils of separate school building of `Kralj Petar Prvi` elementary school in Pasi Poljana will have the classes of physical education, already in the beginning of May, in modernly equipped sport hall. On the initiative of Palilula Municipality, Ministry of youth and sport allocated the funding of 10,000,000 dinars and the City of Nis participated with 4,200,000 dinars. Thanks to the Programme of cross border cooperation Bulgaria – Serbia, IPP fund and project activities of Palilula Municipality, the adaptation of this space will be continued.

The main project was completed. On the surface of 4,400 m2 will be many sports terrains –volleyball, basketball and handball courts, tennis court, fitness trails, ski jump, athletics track. The value of this investment will have been realized until the end of this year with EU support and is about 218, 480, 74 Euros.

According to PhD Igor Novakovic, president of Palilula Municipality words, the people, specially young people living here, will get ideal conditions for development of sport-recreational activities. This significant investment in Palilula is the example how to implement equal territorial development in one municipality. The structuring of capital objects, according to the model of this organization of local self government of the City of Nis, is not only the privilege of the people living in narrow city – municipal centre, but is realized equally in suburbia and rural municipal settlements.
